Hiya, how are you? I hope you're enjoying your day so far!
If not.. It's okay, whatever you're going through is only temporary.
Smile! You are amazing and remember everything will be okay in the end. If it's not okay, it's not the end.
This post is about looking forward instead of living in the past, many of us live in the past and we don't even realise because we're so deep inside our past, we feel our past is our present.
Imagine your life like a car, there's a big windscreen so you're able to see where you're going, however you have the small mirror that's showing where you come from. The windscreen is the biggest view within a car, why do we look to the small mirror when you have the biggest view in front of you? The sad thing is people focus too much on their past that they crash and they're not able to look forward.
When a sky diver jumps out of the plane, he knows he can't go back into the plane because he's already jumped out, you can't go back into the past because it's already in the past.
Have ever taken an exam and wished you revised? Have you ever had an argument and thought of things to say after the arguments happened or have you sent a text message wishing you never did?
The past is there for you to learn from it, not for you to live in it and feel sorry for yourself. If you're feeling sorry for yourself due to something in the past - reality check the past doesn't feel sorry for you because you're still in the past, when you should be PASSED IT. The most you should do is have a glimpse at the past and it should motivate you to move forward.
This topic relates to most of us, whether it's an abusive childhood, a rubbish partner/rubbish friend or maybe a bad upbringing whatever it is, I want you to know it's ends only on your terms. Majority of us question why things happened, try finding an answers on how we let it happen and we blame our self for letting it happen, why do you blame yourself for something that's not even happening right now?
Going through hard times with someone or something makes you strong but being able to learn and move on makes you stronger than the thing/person that put you through the hard situation.
It cant end if you keep going back because you'll never be able to escape. Everyone's past is different and I'm not saying you should completely cut it out because before you know where you're going you need to remember where you came from.
Forgive yourself for what you've done - cry a river, build and bridge and get over it, if you dropped anything on the bridge don't go back to get it.
Yesterday you might of lost the world but today you'll gain the universe.
“You can spend minutes, hours, days, weeks, or even months over-analyzing a situation; trying to put the pieces together, justifying what could've, would've happened... or you can just leave the pieces on the floor and move on.” Tupac Shakur
Don't touch the pieces if you know they're sharp, by touching the pieces you let them become sharper.
Let the past better you, not batter you.
I hope you have a wonderful day, because you're wonderful
