January went so fast, hoping that the month of Feb is full of blessing, opportunities and good vibes.
Okay, so on Thursday the 4th of Feb the craziest thing happened to me, the best thing happened to me. It was probably the best day of my life. On the 4th of Feb I won the 'BE (Black Enterprise) Mogul - Most Influential & Inspirational Black Entreprenuer in Britain for Under 21s - supported by Natwest, 10 Downing Street and Mayor of London. For those who don't know this, I am actually 18, being 18 and able to say I have that title to my name is nothing but a blessing but success only comes to you through work, not by magic. - Action Jackson
After winning this award I have been asked by many many people, HOW DID YOU DO IT? So I thought I would make a blog post expanding on different things I had to do and how I was able to do it.
So the dream first started in September 2013 (I was 16 years old) when I teacher asked me what I wanted to do and I replied back 'I want to be a motivational speaker and to own my own company' THAT SAME DAY A motivational speaker came to talk to us in school (what a coincidence aye ) Action Jackson came into school and asked me what I wanted to be and I stated that I wanted to be a motivational speaker.. It was there and then I knew motivational speaking was destined for me.. why? I SPOKE IT INTO EXISTENCE.
Everything I blog about, I implement it into my life and I feel the only way someone can be successful is through following success.. I can't be motivating you to greatness and I am not reaching for greatness myself. If I want people to follow success, I have to create a success story for me to share..
One thing I had to do was change my mentality, the mentality I had in December 2015 is completely different to the mentality I have right now. Within those 2 months it finally hit me, it hit me that time does not last forever, tomorrow isn't promised - so what are you going to do today that can move the world forever? I had to keep asking myself this question.. what is it that I am going to do today that will shake the world forever?
Many times we plan for tomorrow, plan to do these big things for tomorrow but these 'things' need to be done today - DON'T WASTE TIME OR TIME WILL WASTE YOU. it's your choice.

I had to put myself in a space where I loved myself so much that no one else's opinions can bring me down or divert me from pursuing my dreams. I have experienced negative comments about my motivational speaking and dreams.. I have had 'friends' (not my friends anymore) laugh in my face, teachers telling me I can't do it and certain people waiting for me to give up - few months ago people's opinions or views would REALLY effect me, there was even a time I was going to stop Inside A Dream and motivational speaking because I started to let OTHER people take control of my life.(that story will come another day) Earlier this year I learned I AM IN CONTROL, no one is controlling my destiny but ME and God. This year I learned not to rely on no one, at the end of the day YOU'VE GOT YOU. No one owes you ANYTHING. YOU owe yourself, you owe yourself happiness, love, joy and success.. so the one thing I took from myself was happiness, love joy and success because I owe myself all those things.
Even the most beautiful flower doesn't blossom over night, don't expect good things to happen over night.. everything takes time. Even a life takes 9 months to develop so why would you think greatness will come any sooner than that? chill, just chill. Don't expect success at a certain time, when it's the right time.. it's the right time.
The last little thing I will touch up on is company, who I surround myself with is VERY important. For you to be winning, you have to be with the winning team. I SURROUND MYSELF WITH WINNERS - you are a product of your environment.
All my conversations are building conversations ; I can not entertain conversations which will not help me grow or will not help the other person grow. Not only is it important to surround yourself with people who uplift you but surround yourself with others you can uplift. Don't rely TOO much on the company know, have your own backbone - no one will believe in you if you don't believe in yourself. KNOW YOUR WORTH, KNOW YOUR VALUE AND BELIEVE IN YOURSELF. YOU'RE AMAZING.
GET YOURSELF A MENTOR. PLEASE.
I will scream about mentors for 500 years, A mentor is someone who is advanced in the field you want to go into.. the reason why a mentor is important is because they've made 100 mistakes more than you, this means you're going to make 100 less mistakes than you're meant to.
So this is a lot to take in so I thought I would summarise this whole blog post into an ABC.
FOR YOU TO ACHIEVE, YOU NEED TO BELIEVE BUT BELIEF AND ACHIEVEMENT ONLY HAPPENS WITH GOOD COMPANY.
