Hey,
Motivational Thursdays are here YAAAY. wait, have you just noticed that it's May in a two weeks *screams* WHY ARE MY EXAMS COMING SO QUICKLY? THURSDAY, THE DAY I BRING YOU SOME MOTIVATION AND INSPIRATION. I'm hoping you're having a good week. I hope you've started this week feeling fresh and joyful. If not, don't think of it as a bad thing.. after every dark night there's a brighter day..your bright day is on it's way.
Another thing I have realised is the panic 'It's too late now' IT'S NEVER TOO LATE, never let a parent, teacher, a friend or even YOUR OWN BRAIN tell you that it's too late. If you let yourself think it's too late, it will be too late BUT don't get it twisted, don't feel because you have time you can start later or tomorrow - sometimes tomorrow becomes a month and in a months time is your exam.
Many people have been contacting me asking me why my posts have suddenly stopped and why Visual Mondays seems to be void. I want to apologise for the lack of posts in relation to Motivational Thursdays and Visual Mondays, I wanted to put a halt on my blog to create more time for myself which would allow me to push in extra hours of revision - MOTIVATIONAL THURSDAYS AND VISUAL MONDAYS WILL BE ON PAUSE FOR A WHILE AFTER TODAY'S POST.
This post is dedicated to anyone taking exams, whether it is GCSE's, Year 10 Mocks, Year 6 SATs, University Finals, any exam which is coming your way this post is just for you.
One thing I have realised is that once we hear that someone else is pushing in more hours than we are we instantly feel weak, dumb or not good enough, I have noticed by hearing or seeing someone elses work ethic we then question whether ours is good enough. FIRST OF ALL, it's not actually about how long you are revising for, it is about how effective your revision is.
Some people revise for 6 hours straight, some people revise for 1 hour and take a break - as long as you're taking the information in, you're okay - trust me. Once you start focusing on someone elses work, you lose focus on your own.
WHATEVER YOU DO TODAY, WILL DETERMINE YOUR RESULTS FOR TOMORROW.
A lot of people have asked me why I am so calm during exams season, I don't feel there is any point stressing, once you stress, negative emotions come with it and negative emotions evoke negative actions - always be positive and try to stay calm, you've made it this far - don't give up now - you can do it.
There's two feelings that keeps me going, it's imagining the feeling of calling my mum and my grandma back home and telling them I have failed and the other feeling is calling them and telling them I going to the uni I have always wanted to go to. -
WHEN YOU THINK OF WHY YOU'RE DOING IT, REMEMBER THAT FEELING - KEEP IT WITH YOU - IT WILL PUSH YOU.
Make sure you are in a positive and clean environment, surround yourself with lazy people and you will then become lazy. Spend your time wisely because you'll never get it back.
Whoever is reading this, whether you are doing coursework, exams, interview, audition
I wish you THE BEST OF LUCK
stay positive.don't panic.you're amazing.
